We label what's real
Concept art, prototype footage and in-engine renders are always marked as what they are. No fake dates, no faked gameplay.
◆Independent game studio · Est. 2026
Ravix Games is a fully remote studio building Descent: Into the Abyss, an open-world diving game in Unreal Engine 5.
01Now in development
An open-world diving game. Real reefs and real dive science, and then the ocean stops following the rules.
02The studio
Ravix Games was founded in 2026 by Jordy, a freediver who loves nothing more than being in the water and is invested in ocean conservation. He started the studio to make a game that captures how diving really feels, and then takes you somewhere no diver has been.
We're a growing team of developers, artists and composers working remotely around the world.
About the studio03What we believe
Concept art, prototype footage and in-engine renders are always marked as what they are. No fake dates, no faked gameplay.
We use AI lightly to help us prototype. Our games are designed and directed by people, and their art, sound and design are made by people.
Dev logs, first looks and playtest invitations go to our Discord and newsletter before anyone else.
A fully remote team working flexible hours around real lives, with every contributor credited for their work.
Our founder is a freediver, and our first game is a love letter to the ocean. We want players to come away caring about it too.
04The crew
A freediver who loves nothing more than being in the water, and is invested in ocean conservation. Jordy founded Ravix Games and started Descent to capture how diving really feels, and leads the game's design and direction while building it in Unreal Engine 5.
Building the places you'll dive: reefs, rocks and caves, coastlines and the stone ruins below.
Creating the sound and music of Descent: regulator breathing, bubbles, pressure and silence, the voices of creatures no one has heard, and the score that carries you down.
Designing and modelling what divers wear and carry: wetsuits and drysuits, masks, fins, cylinders, regulators and the rest of the kit, built to real-world reference.
